Privacy policy
Draft, under lawyer review. We will update this page when the final version is ready.
- We only collect what you type into our forms, plus simple, cookie-free visit counts.
- We use it to reply to you, write your proposal and run your project. We never sell it.
- Everything you send us is stored in Mumbai, India.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time: write to [email protected].
1. Who we are
Bananabytes builds software for businesses with an AI crew, checked by people, from Bengaluru, India. This policy covers this website (bananabyts.com) and its forms. Once you sign in to your project at app.bananabyts.com, the portal privacy policy and data processing agreement also apply.
2. What we collect
- When you start a project or write to us: your name, email, and what you tell us about your idea or question. Some forms also ask for a phone number, your organisation, and a link to your app.
- App testing requests: the details above, plus the app owner's name and email if you don't own the app, so we can ask for their permission. We never ask for passwords in these forms.
- Partners: your name, email, country and link code. Before your first payout we ask for the payment and tax details the law requires.
- Clinic Tools list: your email and an optional note.
- Visit counts: which page was opened, the type of device and browser, a rough region from your time zone, and the website that sent you. We use no cookies and no advertising trackers, and we skip visitors whose browser asks not to be tracked. A random visit number is kept in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.
- Settings in your browser: your browser remembers a few choices on this device, such as the industry and country you picked, whether you have visited before, and a partner's link code for 90 days. They stay in your browser, and they are not cookies.
- Kela, our help bot: nothing. What you type stays in your browser tab.
Please don't send us health records, patient details or passwords through these forms.
3. How we use it
- To reply to you and send your status page and proposal.
- To write your proposal: our crew, which runs on AI models, reads your request to draft it, and a person reviews it before it is sent.
- To pay partners and to keep the records tax law asks for.
- To see which pages help visitors, using the visit counts above.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for its job. You can ask us for their names at [email protected].
- Database provider, in Mumbai, India: stores everything you send through our forms.
- Website hosting, on a worldwide network: serves our public pages. Your form entries pass straight through it to Mumbai and are not kept there.
- Email provider, in the United States: handles your email address and the text of the emails we send you.
- AI writing provider, in the United States: reads the text of your request while the crew drafts your proposal.
Our Security page explains how we protect data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep messages and requests for as long as we need them to answer you and run your project, and partner records for as long as tax law requires. If you ask us to delete your data, we do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
6. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. You can also name someone to act for you. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
7. Questions and complaints
For any privacy question or complaint, write to our grievance contact at [email protected] with the subject "Privacy". A founder of Bananabytes reads every one. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For a big change, we tell people who have an active project by email.
